Last year, Pune University had provided re-examination opportunity to every student who applied. The university had also observed that many students had taken advantage of these facilities as there was no system of supervision in online exams. Therefore, some rules have been prepared by the university regarding the re-examination of this session. 

Due to difficulties encountered during online exams, many students got the opportunity to take re-exams during the last year. This year, however, Savitribai Phule Pune University has sifted for this opportunity. The university has announced that it can give re-examination only after finding out the facts in the students' complaints.

The university has organized first session examinations for students of various courses admitted in the academic year 2021-22. The exams will be held online in February and the university has also announced its schedule. Online examinations were also conducted by the university in the academic year 2020-21. The students had encountered many technical difficulties during these examinations. Also, due to natural calamities like unseasonal rains and storms in some places, students had to skip exams due to non-availability of network. The university had given the opportunity of re-examination to every student who made such a demand. The university had also observed that many students had taken advantage of these facilities as there was no system of supervision in online exams. Therefore, some rules have been prepared by the university regarding the re-examination of this session. 

According to the rules, the university has identified eight types of problems. Students will be able to file complaints for those issues. Students will have to go to the student profile and submit the appropriate evidence stating what the problem was. All these grievance applications will be verified by the University. Only students who find the facts in their application during the verification can be re-examined by the university. The university has clarified that re-examination will not be conducted for all the students who have lodged complaints. The decision will not allow students to take advantage of the re-examination facility, the university's examination department said.

The university has clarified that if the students appearing for the re-examination have solved 40 or more questions out of 60 questions or 20 or more questions in the question paper of total 30 questions for Mathematics and Statistics subjects in Science and Technology, re-examination of the relevant subjects will not be conducted.
